Information we collect
Pricemotion collects the information needed to connect to Shopify, provide price monitoring, assign pricing rules, and synchronize product prices.
- Shopify account and session data: shop domain, access tokens, granted scopes, locale, account-owner or collaborator status, and merchant user details made available through Shopify authentication, such as name and email address.
- Product and variant data: product and variant IDs, titles, status, images, SKUs, barcodes or EANs, prices, currency settings, and assigned Pricemotion metafields.
- App configuration: price-rule metaobjects, product price-rule assignments, shop-wide tax, cost, margin, scheduling, and synchronization settings.
- Operational records: price-sync jobs, sync results, previous and proposed prices, skipped or failed sync reasons, timestamps, and related support or security logs.
Information from merchants and customers
Merchants may provide information directly when configuring price rules, choosing products, setting schedules, or contacting us for support. Pricemotion is focused on Shopify Admin workflows and does not intentionally collect buyer or customer personal data from storefront visitors. The app does not place storefront tracking cookies or use storefront tracking technologies.
How we use the information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate merchants and operate the Shopify app.
- Display market-position and competitor-pricing information for Shopify products and variants.
- Create, update, and apply price rules selected by merchants.
- Run manual or scheduled price synchronization and show sync history.
- Provide support, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing and external processing
Pricemotion sends product barcode or EAN values to the Pricemotion service to retrieve competitor pricing information. We may also use service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, and operate the app. We do not sell merchant or buyer personal data.
Retention and deletion
When a merchant uninstalls the app, Pricemotion deletes app sessions and price-sync schedules associated with that shop. Operational logs, price-sync history, and related records are retained only as needed to provide the service, support merchants, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal obligations.
International processing and data rights
Pricemotion is contactable in Bulgaria and may process information in Europe or through service providers in other locations where required to operate the app. Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of their personal data. Merchants can contact us to make a privacy request or ask questions about how information is handled.
Marketing and advertising
Pricemotion is not a marketing or advertising app. We do not use personal data to create interest-based advertising segments or to target ads.
